What are you looking for?
it's unlikely they have that feature, and short of someone volunteering to code it for you, unlikely anyone here will be able to help.
I'd recomend looking at the project and opening a feature request

That's a bummer. Guess I'll have to use both applications and ping pong for chat vs voice..
It sucks these aren't things that are in the base program, because this is what makes a lot of people run away from Foss, when it lacks SUPER basic features we've had for more than 15 years... But I get they do it for free. I feel like a lot of these type of projects need a real world person to explain to them what Normies demand...even somewhat computer literate Normies do not want to have 2 programs to do the same thing. You have to be an ultra nerd nowadays for that.
No hate on the devs. This is something I notice with a ton of Foss projects, just total misses on things that make the programs unusable to many people and keeps them on discord because "commet sucks, you can't even mute someone or adjust their volume".
It doesnt come from a place of not listening to real users.
Most open source projects are hobbies. Tools that they want to use themselves, so thats who they build for. Themselves.
We just get to come for the ride and use what they built for free.
That's why you see this a lot.
I totally get that. I can't complain. But it'd be nice if I could be like hey, me and my friend will both give you "x" amount of dollars to someday code this in, depending on difficulty...
Either way I'll donate to em.
This is just a hard thing to explain to non nerds. They all say "wait why doesn't it have that? Discord has it. Discord is better" and then we have the mess we're in..
So sponsoring a feature might be possible. Its referred to as a bounty. Posting it with your request is the way to go. Especially if they have donors on their page.
Oh I understand. Thanks !
Their last release state : 📲 Partial support for Element Call and 1:1 Calls
So I guess it's partial and feature parity will come with time! Don't hesitate to create an issue so they can track what's missing on GH
Ahh, I see
https://github.com/commetchat/commet/issues/624 is this what you mean? It's in the works :)
No, not PTT, just muting other people in a call.
Hosting your own services. Preferably at home and on low-power or shared hardware.
