If this is a joke, it is funny.

If this is not a joke, it is maybe even funnier.

"both can get pregnant"

edit: actually I don't know if there's masculine right wing chud gays who are into mpreg

In the left hand side image why does it look like his head is on backwards while still facing forwards

Also taint

[-] purpleworm@hexbear.net 6 points 3 weeks ago

Because his neck looks more like a trapezius (or rather, the neck isn't really drawn, so we only get the silhouette of the trapezius behind it).

actually I don't know if there's masculine right wing chud gays who are into mpreg

It's a near certainty that this exists

Dudes rock, I think? Maybe? edgeworth-shrug

[-] HarryLime@hexbear.net 41 points 3 weeks ago

The post he's retweeting is obviously ironic, so I think yes

[-] ElChapoDeChapo@hexbear.net 31 points 3 weeks ago

That's what I was hoping but it's getting harder for me to tell these days

[-] Castor_Troy@hexbear.net 13 points 3 weeks ago

I've read volumes 1-13 (in English). The author is clearly a liberal. So, it could go either way as far as I know.

[-] MohammedTheCommunistPalestinian@hexbear.net 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

all 4 characters portrayed in the actual image are from the same work done by this author so it is definitely ironic

[-] SerialExperimentsGay@hexbear.net 25 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

I didn't find that obvious. Hypermasculine gay men have always been a thing and gay men who fetishize hypermasculinity even moreso. There is a sizeable MPREG fandom as well. And gay fascists have been around since before Hitlerism and are unfortunately way too real nowadays. Yes, the intersection between all three is a fairly small Venn diagramm overlap, a lot of people would make this post ironically, but there's 4chan Ernst Röhms and omegaverse tradwifes that would post this sincerely.

[-] purpleworm@hexbear.net 12 points 3 weeks ago

I think "trad values" "mpreg" is a pretty solid tell that the more likely explanation is irony even if you can't 100% rule out him being an extraordinarily brainwormed neopagan fascist.

both can get pregnant

Issa joke

[-] grouchy@hexbear.net 22 points 3 weeks ago

He also wrote Planetes, which was at least socially progressive -- prominent female black character, not caricatured either -- though I don't remember the rest of the politics well (it's been holy shit more than twenty years since I read it and iirc the anime did its own thing with the terrorist plot). I was a fan long before Vinland Saga took off and he did always give me the impression he was left adjacent but that was also before I became a commie, lol

Just two dudes, real tough guys, banging each other, no bottoms allowed. Both men must also be loudly proclaiming “Get pregnant!” Over and over, in the most deep guttural voices they can muster.

[-] kristina@hexbear.net 12 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

dongs so long and floppy they can both be tops simultaneously

[-] Commiechameleon@hexbear.net 2 points 2 weeks ago

I'm pretty sure this is what Hideo Kojima thinks about things but unironically.

[-] SmokinStalin@hexbear.net 12 points 3 weeks ago

Askeladd with a gun would be a menace. I love it.

[-] notmyoldaccount@hexbear.net 10 points 3 weeks ago

Hell yeah brother. I need more Tom of Finland muscle hunks in my content. Too many twinky anime boys. Legolas nudes out, Gimli nudes in

You just can't handle real masculinity.

they-were-comrades

[-] bold_omi@lemmy.today 2 points 2 weeks ago

I just don't like the A/B/O and weird toxic masculinity thing going on. I'm all for gay partnerships, as a gay dude.

[-] Robert_Kennedy_Jr@hexbear.net 25 points 3 weeks ago

Mpreg is a beautiful thing, I'm sorry you can't see that.

[-] bold_omi@lemmy.today 1 points 2 weeks ago

I don't care about MPREG, although it's unrealistic. The A/B/O and (probably jokingly) anti-leftist things are weird.

I have no issue with gay love. I myself am a gay man.

i was just thinking about whether engels was a twink earlier today 🤔

[-] bold_omi@lemmy.today 1 points 2 weeks ago

I know. I'm a gay man. I still think the image is weird.
