For what it's worth, Argo Tuulik even gave the game a recommendation:

Certainly encouraging

The comparison to Pathologic 2 got me more excited tbh and idk who that guy even is

He was one of the main writers of Disco Elysium and played a vital role in the original collective that had the idea for the game in the first place

You’ll gain first, second, and third level butts and prepare them to use them. While we start with Cure Wounds, we get ones that can influence investigations (Charm Person or Speak with Dead) or can affect the environment or ourselves (Barkskin and Aura of Vitality).

Are spells called butts in this game? Am I missing a joke? Do I have some browser plugin installed that I forgot about? Does the writer's immature friend have unmonitored access to their computer?

Huh. That's what it says for me too.

That's gotta be some kind of autocorrect mistake. Without playing the game I have no what what it corrected, but it makes zero sense in context and is the only mention of butts in the review or the game's store page.

Edit: Probably buffs. Duh. Don't know why I couldn't think of that one.

Started playing today. The Disco Elysium influence is front and center, so far mainly in the internal monologue/skill check system and in how political it gets. World building so far is interesting, but I suspect it won't quite match DE's impact for to the high fantasy setting. Although I say that after about 90 minutes with the game, so I could be completely wrong.

But most importantly, I'm having a good time, and I see the story sucking me in for the whole ride.

Edit: swipe keyboard typos...

I'm really excited to play it. I'm going through Planet of Lana 2 right now, and this one's next on my list. Good to hear it's a lot like DE in a fantasy setting.
