I’m… honestly both in awe and aghast at how fucking blatant the regime is being about it. They’ve literally shut down the team that is in charge of addressing and categorizing security threats to the US originating from Iran immediately before starting a fucking war with Iran. Like… I just… what the actual fuck. I can’t even.
Between this and the documents leaked about their plans for the election, the intent couldn’t be more obvious if they put it on a fucking billboard. I hate that it comes down to such imbecilically stupid and petty US political bullshit like that, and that it’s killing so many people and fucking up so may other parts of the world… but seriously, I really think that was a massive part of their rationale here. It’s a distraction (operation Epstein fury), combined with creating an extremely obvious opening for an asymmetrical/terroristic threat that will be used as a justification for removing the electoral process. That’s the plan.

I know it's far-fetched conspiracy-theory territory...but it is pretty sus that this dude who was close with like most world leaders had millions of his correspondence released to the public under the Epstein Transparency Act....except for the ones between 1999 and 2001.
Sort of how George W had intel that Bin Laden was planning on flying planes into buildings months before 9/11. Lucky for George, he got his war and a 2nd term. Everybody else suffered.

You don't need a warning, if you start a war in Iran there can be more terrorist attacks than before. But pretty shure Trump knows that and did it anyway.
Anyway? He hopes for terrorism in the US so he can have even more surveillance, put whoever he wants in his concentration camps in the name of terrorism and cancel the elections.
We’re at a point where his loyalists will abide the darkest depths of perversion so long as their side is “winning”. If 9/11 happened today they’d pick apart the social media accounts of the victims so they could delight in all the libs who died and raise their own to martyrs. Instead of giving up their rights to Homeland Security in the name of “safety” they’ll hand them over willingly in the hopes it hurts everyone else more than it does them.
Luckily the "highly qualified" head of Homeland Security just got replaced with someone new who in ADDITION to being unqualified is also inexperienced.

I keep saying this over, and over, and over again in this community. Keep information hygiene in mind, please. Post the original source at least, and try to avoid serial reposters, like Mediaite. Mention Mediaite in the body as your original reference, if you wish.

Past commenters seem to agree when I bring this up, yet poster and mods don't do anything.
This is the final straw for me. I don't like blocking anything; I've only blocked two other Lemmy communities, one a bot spamming one. But I'm blocking /c/News, as apparently it isn't going to change, and I came to the fediverse to get away from mass-upvoted tabloid reposts flooding the top of my feed.
They block and alter jobs numbers. This shouldn’t be a surprise.
We are about to see what happens when you fire all the competent warfighters and national security personel only to replace them with skinheads, dropouts, and AI.
