I imagine general deployment patterns are fairly consistent.

Yeah. I guess you can get pattern for each generals and sub generals. But if troops are left to their own demise only receiving a shitload of material, it will be better yo track at squad or at least Platon level. I wonder if we human, have the technology yet.

Oh the resolution on the satellites can absolutely track down to individual level today. And AI systems can track people moving around in real time easily. But I imagine for China the work of the US air force and navy is of the biggest interest. Any attack on China would come by air and sea. So, seeing how the jets are prepared, how refuelling is staged, how munitions are delivered, all of that is invaluable info.

Yeah the supply chain are the core of an army. It seem that cheap drone strategy used against US work well too. I didn't expect Iran to make the US knell this far. The mind game is peak though, these Iranian leaders know what to say to isolate the US in the world scene.

Indeed, this war was a miscalculation of epic proportions. I fully expect that the US will end up being pushed out of West Asia when this is over. And on top of it, everybody is waking up to the dangers of being dependent on foreign energy. I predict we'll see a big rush to renewables and mass buying of stuff like solar panels from China. And if enough countries get serious about transitioning away from oil, then the US geopolitical position will collapse entirely.
