I know this has been happening for a while from seeing people talk about it, but it's still kind of eerie to see your comment get ethered in real time.

It was a short comment, not even inflammatory, just said any support for Israel, genocide, or apartheid is a "disaster" (quoting a response). I don't even know what keywords got it insta-deleted. I've used all the words in comments before.

Anyway, fuck Reddit, y'all.

"I tried to explain at the KKK meeting that black people aren't inherently evil and they kicked me out"

I fucking hate reddit so much. The fact that people on it have the gall to claim it's leftist... Reddit is an American government psyop

[-] Ram_The_Manparts@hexbear.net 22 points 6 days ago

The average redditor thinks reddit is "leftist" because the average redditor is a deranged western supremacist

(Preaching to the choir here, I know)

not beating the reddit-logo allegations

More and more people are saying it, folks a-little-trolling

Try criticizing anarchists on MemesOfProduction. Banned for saying Chomsky got tenure and Parenti got fired lol. The brainrot transcends Reddit these days

hasan was talking about reddit, and how basically the easiest social media site to be manipulated, half joking it is basically moderated by langley (a cia airforce base i think)

[-] ZWQbpkzl@hexbear.net 21 points 6 days ago

The most posters at one point were revealed to be out of a NOVA air force base, not the CIA. The head of the internal content moderation team was at one point revealed to be ex-CIA.

Also the easiest social media to manipulate is 4chan.

[-] Kumikommunism@hexbear.net 15 points 6 days ago

It is probably the most manipulatable website because of the voting system. It's so easy to form social feedback loops on.

[-] Enjoyer_of_Games@hexbear.net 6 points 5 days ago

Most manipulable social media site because it's the only one that is really a public forum so manipulating the front page/major subs games the whole site while other social media requires influence to reach inside an enormous number of highly varied real world social groups.

Langley is just the city in Virginia that the CIA HQ is located. It's like when people call the US government "Washington"

[-] Clippy@hexbear.net 4 points 5 days ago

Jessica Ashooh

tbh i saw her face, i think she is a mod on reddit and some former federal agent - read it in some infographic on instagram, or maybe hexbear

Hawkish Atlantic Council woman with no tech background suddenly became Director of Policy at Reddit. Shortly after the banwave that got /chapotraphouse began.

e: I may be misremembering the timeline, and that it was a few years after that the subreddit got banned. Either way, she's blatantly there to ensure broad narrative control in favor of the US.

If you want to destroy a nation, destroy the thinking of it's youth.

I really don't care what anyone tells me certain Gazans believed, or if they supported Hamas, or if they celebrated any specific attacks, or if they had reactionary fundamentalist interpretations of Islam, or whatever other bullshit hasbara talking points are trending.

The military actions taken against Palestinians, especially in Gaza, are bad, they are unambiguously genocide, and it is the most unsettling crime of the century.

200k+ Palestinians should not have been murdered since 2023, and another 200k+ should not be condemned by the long tail of mortality that such a destructive war involves.
