I think this is the first actual shower thought posted here

It's also as old as dirt

[-] TheQuietCroc@lemmy.world 20 points 2 years ago

Who are you who are so wise in the ways of beans?

[-] greyhathero@lemmy.world 12 points 2 years ago

More propaganda from big bean. We all know orchids and fruit pits ain't legumes, let alone beans

[-] jeanofthedead@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

“The best part of waking up is pits in your cup” just didn’t succeed in audience tests.

Look we start with this and soon enough we're gonna call Pizza an "open faced sandwich" and I can't abide that.

[-] ipha@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago

Both pizza and open faced sandwiches are actually just toast.

Deep dish pizza...

Is a quiche. It makes so much sense now that I think of it.

[-] ivanafterall@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Isn't a pizza just a self-important pancake?

[-] xoggy@programming.dev 2 points 2 years ago

But pancake is a cake and pizza a pie.

[-] scutiger@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Pancakes are made from batter while pizza is made from dough. Rather, I would say that KFC is just deep-fried pancakes.

It was an original thought I laughed my head off with my ex and wrote down with a pen and paper about 15 years ago. So… I guess?

[-] askmeaboutmylunch@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Maybe I'm stupid (and have no clue about coffee), but what is the 3rd bean besides soy and coffee?

[-] xoggy@programming.dev 4 points 2 years ago

Finally an actual r/showerthought style post and not a Lemmy meta post or TIL.

[-] Leviathan@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Coffee isn't made from beans, silly.

[-] RicketyHalo@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

True, it's made from ground up coffee bugs!

[-] Leviathan@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Close! It's Cherry pits! Valiant effort, though.

[-] nx2@feddit.de 2 points 2 years ago

Mhmm.. soup..

[-] Aequitas55@lemm.ee 1 points 2 years ago

But it's not juice. Nothing is being pressed or squeezed. It's a solution or a three bean broth.

[-] UrPartnerInCrime@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 years ago

Also, coffee isn't a bean. It's a cherry pit

Showerthoughts

A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.

Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:

Rules

  1. All posts must be showerthoughts
  2. The entire showerthought must be in the title
  3. No politics
    • If your topic is in a grey area, please phrase it to emphasize the fascinating aspects, not the dramatic aspects. You can do this by avoiding overly politicized terms such as "capitalism" and "communism". If you must make comparisons, you can say something is different without saying something is better/worse.
    • A good place for politics is c/politicaldiscussion
  4. Posts must be original/unique
  5. Adhere to Lemmy's Code of Conduct and the TOS

If you made it this far, showerthoughts is accepting new mods. This community is generally tame so its not a lot of work, but having a few more mods would help reports get addressed a little sooner.

Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.
