Just a reminder that Federal Law shields people who sell guns from liability over the just as inevitable consequences of that industry.
I don't think it would shield an illegal gun seller if that gun was used by someone to kill someone else.
If Perry had been given a legal prescription and still died by abusing it, I don't think Walgreens would be facing charges.
The distinction here isn't "gun" vs "drug" it is "legal sale" vs "illegal sale".
My analogy is apt because both guns and drugs are dangerous and our society treats the things very differently for arbitrary cultural bullshit.
Pointing out that legally, guns are OK doesn't contradict my point, it furthers it.
That's good but the Sacklers should probably go too then.
My brother died from a pill overdose and I told the cops who the person was that sold it to him. They didnt give a fuck because we're poor and latino.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link.
