The Ministry of Justice said that possessing and publishing porn showing incest between family members and sex between step or foster relatives where one person pretends to be under-18 would be a crime.
I feel like everytime this is brought up, headlines ignore the whole "pretending to be under 18" part...
How that's interpreted determines everything else.
It's also super weird they don't ban everything where the person pretends to be a child tho...
Who's making that determination though?
Isn't child porn already illegal though? Even pretending to be I am pretty sure counts by UK laws.
They're just annoyed that every time they go on pornhub for some wank material that it is dominated by step-fantasy shit.
Yeah, all the tractor stuff gets pushed to page 8 and you have to do loads of scrolling.
But this wouldn't actually outlaw that...
They'd throw some kind of line/establishment that they're over 18 in that takes 10 seconds and it's legal again. Or even just a "all characters are based on someone 18+" screen.
That's why it doesn't make sense anyone is making it a big deal, it does absolutely nothing.
It's a distraction from real shit.

This targets porn where one or more people “pretend to be under 18”… which doesn’t exist anyway, right? My knowledge is not extensive, but anecdotally, I have never seen that
I'm sure it exists somewhere on the internet but I wouldn't say it's particularly prevalent. There's quite a lot of this school girl stuff but it's generally someone who's obviously older than 18 just play acting. Anyway it's pornography, no one cares about the plot anyway.
