It was filled with transphobia, yes, and that's unacceptable. As a matter of trivia, April struck first, after realizing Douglas was reckless with her affections and hadn't been listening to her, even when she had something she felt was important to share with him. Honestly, it was satisfying watching her wipe the floor with him for a while before he got the upper hand.

Doesn't retroactively make the show any less funny, and this post is not any sort of endorsement of him; if it was, that would at least serve as a reason to comment the way you did, as a response.
This just comes off as empty virtue signaling.
Worked in IT support and moved to software development. I still use the "Have you tried turning it off and on again" line whenever a colleague is having issues with their machine. There are still people surprised that this works. Sadly there is now a generation that has no idea what I'm referencing when sharing the IT crowd gif.
In germany we have formal training (apprenticeship, combines school and company training) for IT fields, most prominently systems integration and app developement.
As someone who was in systems integration I can tell you, app developers don't learn a lot of basic computer knowledge.

I had to look him up. I've never heard of the show, probably because i'm an American.
Is there a version of this somewhere without the canned laughter? That makes it almost unbearable for me to watch this.
it's not canned, it was filmed in a studio in front of an audience. you can see it on the behind the scenes stuff.
I've gone through this with shows, and all I can say is that you tune out the studio laughter after a few episodes.
