"The subcontinent" is India (as most people would have guessed, but it may be notable)
Edit: The Indian subcontinent includes Pakistan, India, Bangladesh (debatable) and Sri Lanka. Basically the British Raj
Why has the word debatable been put in place ??π€π€π€
I'm gonna be honest, I know jack shit about Indian subcontinent geopolitics
I don't know what that term means, but if you follow my community, you'd definitely understand about the geopolitics aspects.
If the British Raj is the question, then Myanmar too had been a part of India. In fact, Myanmar was separated from lndia following the Government of Burma Act, 1935.
Well, I would have guessed there is more then one place on the subcontinent β at least Sri Lanka (otherwise just call it news from India)
Yes, cite a work from the world's most notorious colonizer as reference for a foreign nation's regional termsβ never mind that said invaders declared them such, not the inhabitants. Yeah, sounds about white. π€πΌ

We're NOT a nation as such. Bangladesh, Pakistan..... These are not nations. They're just geographical areas. India is the worst of all !!!
There are several nations within one lndia. The British just partitioned our home before departing !!

We've had our colonial masters and colonial history. Not to be mixed up with racism.
My hometown was out of British lndia though....... A colony of France !!
In fact, my home district had colonies of several European powers !!!
