"molest" also literally means to bother, it's actually a euphemism that we probably shouldn't use (although it's become fully associated with the other meaning, so maybe we should, idk).
But originally it was a genteel way to refer to SA.

My "do not molest the owls" sign has people asking a lot of questions already answered by my sign.
All I can concentrate on is that the owl in the sign has very silly eyes
