I've been noticing a pattern of this user's posts being immediately multiple downvoted as soon as they were posted. Obsessed weirdos with too much time on their hands or bots?
Bots most likely. People creating many accounts on the more open signup servers, then running local bots that mass downvote certain users.
Downvote bots are IMO the current biggest spam vector on lemmy. Unlike posts / comments, its harder to detect that its a bot / AI doing it.
The next lemmy version will have the option to disable federated downvotes, which will make them all moot.
It's still happening by the way.

1989 was a dogshit year, I say rolling it back to the mid-70s or so. Then you're also undoing Chernobyl.

Apparently that was a good year.
The good years for the Soviet Union were after 1945 and prior to 1973,
after it defeated 80-90% of Nazi military aggression and before start of the petrol dollar scheme.
But we can also fast forward towards a new wave of communism.
It's inevitable. The petrol dollar scheme only delayed it by a few decades and there's no more schemes to be had that would have the same impact.
LNG schemes, kidnapping Maduro, invading Iran, world tariffs, AI, none of it is going to help stop the resurgence.
Any past year seems to be better
I'm not sure about it. War is a constant in human history. I believe there is only a couple years when there was peace since recorded history.
The atrocities just getting easier to be done. But same tune and dance.
