How is this even a story. I've seen it in multiple papers now. What loser reporters saw this extremely minor drama and thought "the world needs to know"?

Stephen Miller IS objectively ugly, in body and soul, but even if it wasn't true, calling your opponent ugly is the most tame level of political offense, even from an official organization's account. And his wife "doxxing" a political employee by name only is also the weakest act that could possibly be described as "doxxing". This might serve as hot gossip if it took place within a local neighborhood board, but not when applied to a Nazi whose every action is an offense to society and who is serving in a regime for which politeness is actively discouraged.

Cover literally anything else. Or nothing at all! Even printing this like an important thing in politics is a minor violation of respectful interaction is actively harmful.

It's a story because Republicans NEED it to be a story. They desperately need a constant feed of "Democrats evil" to hide behind and convince The Base to be angry and keep voting for Republicans. It's a 24/7 routine, the constant grievance politics that the Reich thrives on.

[-] kobra@piefed.social 4 points 1 week ago

I've seen republicans with this take too: "Wait when did we become the thin-skinned ones?"

[-] jtrek@startrek.website 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Conservatives have always been the thin skinned ones. "Oh no black people are moving into our neighborhood we better flee and or murder them".

[-] valek879@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 week ago

Feels like it was about 10 years ago when Republicans started calling anyone with a sense of empathy special snowflakes.

It was kind of like, "Oh you don't think I should say the n word? Well you're just a special snowflake!" Seems pretty revealing.

[-] Drusas@fedia.io 1 points 1 week ago

It was longer ago than that.

I mean, it kinda gets me a little closer to burning down the establishment and dragging the current administration to the guillotine.

[-] forkDestroyer@infosec.pub 2 points 1 week ago

She tried to find the most unflattering picture and this was the best she could come up with?

That poor woman's hand, arm and shoulder are in for a world of hurt for all the high fives she's going to be receiving this week.

A situation like this is why we need more comedians running social media accounts. It was a perfect opportunity to insult Miller. Could have said something like, "Trump administration has also broken many barriers by hiring the original Boss Baby". Or they could have alluded to the fact that Miller was so disliked, Republican staffers started a rumor he played with porcelain dolls.

The actual response is offensive, not because it uses harsh language but because it's so boring

[-] Kirp123@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

That media manager deserves a raise. Hopefully she stays safe now that her name and face are out there.

Katie Miller's croaking about how it's these answers that lead to violence is such bullshit. Someone should tell her that people don't get killed for being ugly but they do get killed for being transgender. She should take her ugly ass husband and go back to their military base where they can't feel threatened by some chalk drawings on the sidewalk.

[-] zd9@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Temu Eva Braun and her husband will end up in the same way as the OGs, when this is all over. They aren't getting out of this to just fade into the background.

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago

No, they will end up rich in mansions pulling strings from backrooms until they die.

Get over this fantasy of just rewards and justice, Lemmy.

[-] zd9@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago

That's probably more likely, but depending on how bad things really get before this is over, they may not make it another few years. They had to move to a military base because all of their neighbors in Arlington, VA kept protesting outside their house. They're massive pussies, just like all fascists when met with any kind of push back.

[-] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 0 points 1 week ago

Historically it is not more likely. Historically, these people end up dead or fleeing their country when their regimes topple.

[-] zd9@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I hope you're right about the first option

[-] W3dd1e@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 week ago

I’ll put my name next to it. Stephen Miller is a soy boy beta bitch who is afraid to fight me because he knows he’d lose to a woman.

Fight me in the octagon, Miller.

[-] teslekova@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago

Hehe. Looks like she hit a nerve.

[-] 9point6@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

I wonder if she realises she's tied herself to the literal bottom of the gene pool

Ugly fuck is such a charitable description of him

Yeah, he's more of a Nosferatu gargoyle type thing
