Of course they did. We just had a judge dismiss a case and screamed at BOTH sides because they had both used AI to craft their arguments, and ALL of the citations, on BOTH sides, were fictitious, totally made up by the AI. They didn't even bother to verify them before filing with the court. BOTH sides.
They will eventually want to do away with the human factor, out of "fairness," and have AI present the arguments, and AI pronounce judgment. It sure will speed up the legal system. When a person is arrested, the facts of the case will immediately be entered into the AI, and in a few seconds, a verdict will be rendered. An appeal might take another few seconds, then we can move right on to the execution.
I'm sure AI will make the execution more efficient, too. Something like slow flaying over the course of a week.
