@vbuterin, the creator of Ethereum Blockchain, has donated 55 ETH (valued at over $100,000) to @GrapheneOS , the hardened - security focused version of Android. Contributions like this, support the Android FOSS community's efforts to enhance mobile security through design and develop more secure applications on Android.

GrapheneOS Ethereum wallet can be found there:

That's pretty fuckin awesome, GrapheneOS still deserves so much more though. The devs could easily get a job elsewhere making an easy $120k+ a year for what they know, yet they make such small wages for a passion project instead. Think of the loss of potential money they are losing by choosing to do a free FOSS project, how many of you are willing to do that?

Funding also has been complicated for Graphene. They just had their PayPal randomly locked, but apparently it also got randomly unlocked without stating a reason. They are registered as a non-profit so I'm not sure how that all works. Graphene posted a thread on it: https://grapheneos.social/@GrapheneOS/110799509887282020

I don't really agree with how crypto is used/abused but I do appreciate the idea behind it

It's nice to see support

Nice! I will still keep donating, I hope they can keep up the good work!

Yep, we should create a donation-based market to support great people and great projects!!!
