Looking for a phone with quick charging, headphone jack for less than ~€1000 and I don't mind yesteryears phones.

Which one would you go for?

I care for: Photos, good biometrics, NFC.

Don't care for: Gaming, high resolution displays, speakers.

I might just get the Asus Zenfone as I have a Sony now.

Edit: Ordered.

On Zentalks forum you'll see some quirks and bugs but overall the experience is good. Just may need to reboot every couple of days which helps iron out some of the issues for a bit. It's had two software updates since I've had it and I'm hoping more time between the next allows them to fix the bugs I've reported.

A few days later I can say that the experience is wonderful.

The size is perfect (small) and the cameras are good enough for the people I go out with. I bought the 512Gb variant which ended up right around 100 EUR.

What shocked me was that the biometrics are 10x better compared to using the Sony phones I've been using previously!

Great stuff! You'll notice some oddities over time but mostly livable!
