What are you gonna do MAGA? Kill him?

[-] TotallynotJessica@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

Honestly, they might. A lone wolf might attempt it, but it will be worse if Trump wins.

If Trump wins the presidency, he will kill or jail anyone he doesn't like. The Republicans plan to take control of the federal government without congressional support, and Trump openly tells us his intentions. Even if Romney didn't say this, Trump would still target him, so of course he would vote against him.

It's not a joke. Trump became more dangerous and more driven to become a dictator by losing in 2020. He was always going to try to overturn the constitution to become president for life by 2024, but now there are no neoliberal conservatives to hold him back. It's total fascism time for Republicans.

Isn't it amazing there are so many "lone" wolves in the GOP? Almost like their very actions create them.

[-] TotallynotJessica@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

It's legal plausible deniability. They tell the lone wolves what to do with coded language on social media, but don't directly communicate with individual terrorists.

They can only be furious. Sure beats thinking.

"Anybody. I would be happy to support virtually any one of the Republicans, maybe not Vivek [Ramaswamy], but the others that are running would be acceptable to me.

That is a man speaking who dislikes Trump personally, but doesn't have any issues with his policies. Ramaswamy, DeSantis, et al., are very similar to Trump politically, only more polished in personality. Nikki Haley and Chris Christie are probably the most rational of the current crop of Republican primary candidates, and they're still far from the more centrist Republicans like Bush I or II, or even Richard Milhouse Nixon.

Wait, a sensible Republican?

What is this? The nillies?
