Hi! I am motivated to contribute memes on Lemmy, but it would be easier for me if I had an app that allowed me to create memes on my phone, so it means:

put text on images
insert, resize, rotate images on images
draw with a simple pencil-like tool

I would prefer it foss and without ads if possible (yes, I have f-froid) thank you!

This works, but the formats are ancient

If it could pull from knowyourmeme or https://imgflip.com/memetemplates?sort=top-new, with an API of some kind, that would help a lot

The user can download the format they want

I don't mind if it has a small library or lack of integration but it really sucks I can't add a template and delete the image or have a dedicated meme template folder.

It is open-source though, so make a request.

I tried it but it only allows very simple stuff, for instance its not possible to insert images :( but I guess i'll begin with this

Photoshop on iOS in the free version has meme layouts. Assuming it’s the same on android.

https://www.photopea.com may work just fine for what you need. It has meme templates too.
