I stopped following Critical Role as part of a general burnout on 5e. I'm actually super glad to see them branch out with different systems (beyond one-shots). I'm eager to see how this plays out!
Candela Obscura might be up your alley as well. I haven't watched yet, but it's an original game and episodes are only 30 minutes.
No, they're regular length. I believe you're mixing the episode length up it with Midst, the podcast they acquired.
Everywhere I've seen them posted, the episodes are full length, but they DO have a much smaller cast, only 4 PCs, which was what hooked me.
I just might check it out! I was recently thinking that I might give them another go anyway. Especially since they've got a podcast feed, which is how I'd rather follow it.
...though I do wish it was edited down. :|
