Gosh you're exactly right! I had "recently read" checked which sounds self explanatory but the two work slightly differently. This gets me one step closer at least.
Not FOSS, but I really like Inoreader.
Unfortunately, the Pro version is subscription only ($90/year).
I use the free version so I'm limited to 150 feeds, which is enough for my use. And although I like some of the other pro features, I can't justify paying the high subscription price.
Using the pro version for years - they regularly have sales where you get 50% more time per โฌ so it's not nearly as expensive if you stock up for 2+years if they do that
I like Flym a lot. The project has been discontinued but the app was in a very good state when that happened and works well.
Not sure what you mean by search โ whether it's quicksearching through feed articles or searching for new feeds โ but it has both. ๐
Flym also hides articles from the list after you've read them because it defaults to the "Unread" listing, but you can see them in the "All" listing.
Not FOSS, but Feedly. I use it for years now. I can highly recommend it.
I use Pluma from the play store. Works fine for my use case
