Who in the world thought it was a good idea to give vulnerable people who just escaped and oppressive despot to a priest?
The South Korean government really doesn't give a crap about North Koreans. You should watch this documentary where you can hear them explain how they were treated.

When are we going to learn that religious factions are a breeding ground for sex pests. Not all religious people are sex pests, but there is enough in there to think twice about leaving vulnerable kids.
There's just no way this alternative school can be viewed with anything other than contempt and suspicion even before this would have come to light. I hope it's not government funded because the idea of the government endorsing this as the gateway and representative for life on this side of the divide would certainly be a bad look, but even if it's independent, defectors are given a stipend when they start their new lives in the South, and they don't usually have any experience with a capitalist system making them vulnerable to hucksters and scams. The idea of this "school" run by religious weirdos supposedly possessing the means to teach others how to interact in a liberal democracy would be difficult to believe on its face and lo and behold it's a bunch of a kiddy fiddler's looking for victims. I cannot imagine falling prey to these bastards after escaping such degradation and hardship to begin with.
