Hey all,

I'm looking to wallmount my Samsung Tab4 tablet but can't seem to find the right components to do it.

I already have an recessed plug for power (see image below) but cannot find anything small enough to plug in and power up my tablet.

I already figured out that I would need to purchase a slim flat micro usb cable to power up the tablet and I plan on 3d printing the wall mount. The only thing that I have not yet been able to find is a usb adapter that is small enough to fit in this recessed area. Anyone have any suggestions?

You could could replace the outlet with one that has an integrated usb socket

I was looking for recessed usb outlets but they dont seem to make them. The only thing i was able to find what a recessed housing where i could then add a usb outlet. You know of any that are a 2 in one?

Second this idea.

Only other one that comes to mind is using POE

Yes but I could not find any that are recessed. The closest thing that I found was this https://www.amazon.com.au/Smart-things-Flush-Mounted-Connection-sCh-12W-8pin-1-0A/dp/B082B7RZ5H but I can't find something similar in Canada or USA

What if you DIDN'T plug straight into the outlet? If you have a small cord to a hub that is mounted behind or around the tablet?

Here is a product that could work on Amazon: https://a.co/d/da8WbFB .

That link has trackers by the way (I'm guessing it was generated like that)

I think this should be the cleaned URL

Of course it does, damn Amazon. Good to know I can strip out most of the junk in the URL in the future. I just knew that the share button gave a shorter link.

For sure! I use URLCheck from fdroid, it works pretty well

On desktop I think it's CleanURL

This is what I was thinking of as well. In the picture i included in the original post I have a red rectangle block. This is where I intend to mount the tablets. This means that I don't have all that much space to add this hub behind it.

Look for a recessed outlet box, then add your own outlet that has USB. I found a recessed box on Amazon from a company called Arlington, but I'm sure you could find them locally at a home improvement store near you.

Do you have some dimensions for the outlet?

Have you checked out Makes by Mike? They have good wall mounts and charging options:
