The news comes years after the eldritch horror maker's dispute with publisher Nacon began. In 2020, the studio pulled The Sinking City from all stores, accusing Nacon of missing payments, holding back €1 million in royalties, and claiming IP rights to the game -- something the studio insisted had always belonged to it.

I can finally buy it now, since the only place you could get it before where the money went to Frogwares, was on epic.

Looks like they'll also be releasing a new DLC as well, according to this post on Steam. Nice to see they still have more content for the game.

Now that's some great news! I wonder if they had it ready but couldn't do it or something.

That might be the case, especially since Nacon messed things up and DLCs are all over the place depending on what platform you look at.
But with the way that announcement is worded, it sound like they may have more plans for the game in the future too. I hope so, because it really is a fun game imo.

I only heard about how they were getting fucked over after buying it on PS5. This game is awesome. Kinda reminds me of Dark Corners of the Earth, but bigger and better. I love the system of investigation where you can cross-reference your clues at the library, police station, hospital and city hall. You're not just some kind of super computer that can deduce exactly the next waypoint after finding a single piece of evidence.

Combat is hella jank tho, and it is absolutely necessary in a lot of quests. Probably the only thing it does worse than DCOTE.

Nice news, seems a good time to buy it.

I was really looking forward to this one, looked like a Sherlock Holmes but with one of my favorite horror settings ever conceived.

It....did not impress.

I like the game but I can't deal with the nausea. Idk what it is about it, (I suspect it's the rain) but within minutes I feel sick and need to go lay down. My husband has no issues with it. We're probably about 30% through.

I love the weirdness of the story. The voice acting is pretty good. The environment is immersive, and I'll remember that cake scene forever. (But the boat controls suck, combat isn't fun and doesn't add anything to the game, and I'm not a fan of having to run to a point in order to fast travel)

Just wish I could either watch or play it without wanting to throw up

The combat killed the entire game for me. I ended up using WeMod.

Yeah, my husband and I tend to trade off playing during 1-player games, and I'd essentially toss the controller at him each time there was an enemy. He got to the point of "fuck this, I'm running" (Though we haven't played in a while due to the nausea I get from it)
