I think Vim bindings are dumb and get in the way. I will never understand the appeal of modal editing. Emacs was always the superior program since it was released by Richard Stallman in 1985.
I think people don't even want to discuss options for surveillance online and offline because they never were and don't actually fear to be victims of violent crimes.
I also think people who say surveillance and police need to be abolished believe (subconsciously) in the "just world" hypothesis or they have main character syndrome and think that bad stuff only happens to people who somehow deserve it.
I don't block ads on YouTube because I want to support the content creators.
I wish Lemmy apps didn't collapse comments when tapping them - it makes text selection impossible (or rather, it forces you through the 'view source' menu which is ludicrously roundabout for the purpose).
The US left wing has a lot of great ideas and some really really terrible ones that are completely out of the mainstream.
That's probably specific enough, right?
