I am out of the loop. What does BSD stand for other than the OS?

ha, I thought this slide was literally about the OS/license

I was ready to be mad at you for making me google it, but it turned out to be the same iusnaturalist bullcrap that was already centuries out of date when I studied that stuff and had memory holed, so... meh.

Fond memories of my college years, though. Feeling young and smart and so, so intellectually superior by pointing and laughing at those guys because back then we all thought things were mostly going to get better looking forward. Good times.

That’s fucking hilarious, I responded to my own comment with pretty much the same thing after I realized, and it just never posted. lol

~~Bipolar Spectrum Disorder~~

edit: OP has answered

[-] lvxferre@mander.xyz 3 points 9 months ago

Bullshit discourse. It fits the second bullet point, the one with "muh chruth".

(For a serious answer, check OP's reply.)

Take your pick. ~~Though the appeal to nature at the end makes me think it is probably something made up by that particular school.~~

edit: It isn't but the appeal to nature is still a fallacy

That slide is kinda wild to me. It simultaneously dismisses one philisophical concept as unfounded (dualism) but then suggests the existence of some true human state which sounds equally bogus to me.

I'd be curious to hear what the heck they were trying to get across here.

Religion B is False because it contradicts religion A which is stipulated to be True. To worship religion B is unhealthy.

What is the difference between believers and heretics? Well, the heretics believe that 2+2 equals 3. Meanwhile, we believers know that 2+2 obviously equals 5.

[-] Tundra@lemmy.ml 5 points 9 months ago

I'm guessing these are points to debate in class?

Wild if not
