Nah, better to ask on Lemmy
Going to do so once it surpasses 26 Feb
You do realize that processing orders can take several days right?
Seems like that were a single day late and it shouldn't significantly affect the delivery date. I couldn't worry about it until the 26th. They might have had a rough day in the shipping warehouse.
This has been solved. it just got updated with an ETA of 27-2-2024 and now mentions a specific courier. No further advice is needed. Thanks for the help.
Did they charge you yet? I believe they can't charge you before the send the item (at least that's how it works in my country). I would probably just cancel the order and order it somewhere else with better delivery.
How does it work in your country when they send the item, and then you don't have enough money for them to charge?
I think they reserve the amount on your bank account but it is not taken before the item is sent. I think. Or maybe they only charge just before they send and then don't send if there's not enough.
The banking system and cards must work differently in your country, unless it's the second thing you said. That would be nice though. Here in the US sometimes you can wait weeks after getting charged before it sends, especially if it's a smaller company that might somehow miss your order.
I think it's more likely the first thing I said. I think perhaps it's a difference between debit and credit cards? I know credit cards is more common in the US but basically never used here in Denmark.
I love hearing about how other cultures work. I have a question because this is a point of contention with me and our banking system.
If you have 5.000 DKK in your bank account and buy something worth 6.000 DKK, does your bank allow the charge to go through? If it does, are you charged large fees? How does that work?
Semi-related but not exactly... In the US when a company puts a hold charge on your debit card, depending on what it's for, it's usually for more than the amount than is being paid, I believe, then they refund/unhold the rest when the charge goes through. I may not be accurate in this because I only have it happen at gas stations. You have to have minimum $170 in your account to pay at the pump. Otherwise you have to go inside and pay without a hold.
Someone else from the US correct me if I'm wrong please.
By the way you have a very beautiful country.

No, you wouldn't be able to pay.

I've never heard of reserving or holding more than the price. I honestly don't know how much is reserved when you put your card in the gas station - I would assume it would stop pumping once you go over your amount on your card? But I've never been in this situation. Gas stations in Denmark are rarely manned though so there is no "inside" to go to in case you don't have enough.

I think so too! There are some Danish communities on Feddit.dk (most prominently !fedditdk@feddit.dk) if you would like to ask more questions.
Thank you, I'll join them and lurk for a while before asking questions.
I'm pretty sure they have. Not 100% sure though.
