Dont install Google, leave it in airplane mode, and never put a SIM card in it. Now you're safe from 99.9% of spying

Thats also very important for the EU as the situation here is probably more solvable. If data storage, analysis and sale gets completely outlawed in the EU, it will not be as feasible to continue in the US.
