Kyrsten Sinema is the type of person who could find a clogged toilet in her parent’s house, and instead of getting the plunger, she would take a violent shit on top of the clog.

Then she’d tell her parents about the clog, not offer to clean it, and not mention that she shit on the clog.

Then she would take pride in the fact that she let someone know about the clog so it could be cleaned. She would go on X and say “I pointed out the obstruction, and it got taken care of.”

In a surreal she would also be the violent shit.

It'd be multiple Courics.

I assume sinema has secured herself a lobbyist job when her term ends, and can now earn more money than she did in Congress.

[-] billiam0202@lemmy.world 44 points 8 months ago

She can't be a lobbyist, because nobody in Washington trusts her. You can't lobby if you don't have any pull. More likely she'll end up as the token "totes not a Republican I just regurgitate all the Republican talking points" contributor gig on Fox or one of the other right-wing media channels.

That, and she was quoted in Romney's book (insert salt grain) saying she didn't care about reelection because she was already elected and could go sit on any board she wanted or become a university president. She was always just in it for the money and status.

because nobody in Washington trusts her

Not trusted by the crowd that itself can't be trusted -- quite the accomplishment, ain't it?

To succeed in the criminal world, you need a reputation for honesty

[-] OldWoodFrame@lemm.ee 2 points 8 months ago

Of course it will pay more than Congress because Congress doesn't pay well. It's about power more than money.

[-] YtA4QCam2A9j7EfTgHrH@infosec.pub 8 points 8 months ago

Congress is one of the best paid gigs in the world if you take advantage of their “it’s not against the law for us to insider trade.”

In the article: "Watch on X"

Me: No. No. I don't think I will.

[-] Tronn4@lemmy.world 29 points 8 months ago

Switching parties in term should eb automatic recall election

[-] bizzle@lemmy.world 10 points 8 months ago

Political parties should be abolished wholesale, everyone should run unaffiliated in order to prevent the current culture of Party Over Country

[-] regdog@lemmy.world 10 points 8 months ago

Why demand to change a thing that could be changed realistically, when you could also make an unrealistic demand?

You can donate to Ruben Gallego’s campaign here. Arizona needs to make sure he wins the election.

How good are Lake's chances?

[-] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 13 points 8 months ago

They don't seem great, but she's not out of the running yet for sure. From Feb 22 - "The Emerson College Polling/The Hill survey found Gallego leading by 6 points, with 36 percent support to 30 percent for Lake and 21 percent for Sinema, while 13 percent were undecided. In a head-to-head match-up between Gallego and Lake, Gallego’s lead expands to 7 points, 46 percent to 39 percent, with 15 percent undecided." (Archived)

The problem again will be if lake loses she won’t concede and will try to get a recount and Bitch about it being stolen.

[-] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 6 points 8 months ago

Yeah, that's not ideal, but definitely less of a problem than her actually being elected would be, and I think the system can withstand her fact free whinging again
