Dictionary.com - terrorism: "the unlawful use of violence or threats to intimidate or coerce a civilian population or government, with the goal of furthering political, social, or ideological objectives." I think that's very fitting, hopefully the law will as well.

Yeah but that definition only applies to people who are brown or poor.

In this case, they are all lone wolves. All of them.

Reminder: All MAGA fans support the use of threats and violence. They either directly do this shit, or they tolerate it, which keeps it happening. Every. Single. One.

I'm curious about the real numbers - 600% is a serious increase, but going from 0 to 6 per day isn't anywhere as bad as going from 10 to 60 per day. Also a graphed out over time to see if this is a trend or anomaly in the data.

Also how can the government have access (one way or another) to all of our private data - including texts, calls, and browser histories - but can't catch idiot lunatics who legitimately (not hyperbolicly) threaten violence? Oh right... That would cost them money they'd rather spend not helping people.

If you are curious, you could just read the article… it’s 788.

Stupid people making threats against public officials, I hope they get a visit from a couple of FBI agents to take them for an appointment with a judge.

Stupid article, 600 percent sensationalism.. 1 to 6.. 10 to 60.. 33 to 198... what?

[-] jeffw@lemmy.world 16 points 7 months ago

788… maybe read it before you criticize it lol

[-] Badeendje@lemmy.world 1 points 7 months ago

I thanks... must have read over it. That is just an insane amount.. way to many people with too much time on their hands and a personality disorder.
