This immediately made me think of Scythe, and sure enough, he did the art. Fantastic.

I just figured it was from Scythe.

This one is giving me some Horizon Zero Dawn vibes.

Very cool!

There’s absolutely no way that this is from 1920.

[-] Ludrol@szmer.info 2 points 7 months ago

It is from 1920+ not from 1920

1920+ is a name of alternative history world where humans in WWI began to build mechs

1920 I interpreted as a year and tried to make a joke

I see. Thanks.

1920, 1922... details really.

1922 my arse. That’s clearly done in the last ten years or so. The whole concept is way beyond 1922.

Hint : Jakub Różalski was born in 1981, according to Wikipedia

(This is just from a series of drawings he made of some alternate history universe that's called "1920")

I see. That makes sense.

I love Rozalski stuff. Love the fantasy feel

[-] whostosay@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago

This is absolutely one of my favorite paintings I've ever seen, this is fucking rad.

[-] whostosay@lemmy.world 5 points 7 months ago

I just found the dudes site, and every single one of these are rad.

This is first time I see Jakub Rozalski's art and I love it! This reminds me so much of art pieces made by Simon Stålenhag.

If you liked this post, you'll love his stuff!

EDIT: Also, I have his work as a background of mine on every device I use!

Nice, definitely similar, thanks for the recommendation
