Is the number of A’s an indicator of how broken games will be at launch?

[-] frippa@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 year ago

A basically stands for alpha now so probably lol

Every A is a year to almost kinda fix the game after launch

Reminds me of when we used colored stickers to identify the least (green) to most (red) rush job on the shop floor. Next thing we knew the project managers were going around with just red sticker and putting multiple on one job to show it was REALLY rush.

When A24 branches out from movies, we’re gonna have a whole new era, boys!

My brain can only see max 4 characters. Any more than that and they all look the same. There is no difference in reading AAAA and AAAAA

The first AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA game launches.

"It's not a bad game, it's a AAAAA title!" "Oh great, yet another AAAA game from Ubisoft". That high number of A's is becoming a synonym for a bad rushed game with a big budget.
