I’m surprised it took the Grift ol Party this long to make campaigning an MLM.

[-] nxdefiant@startrek.website 6 points 2 years ago

Always has been. He's just trying to make his own gas station bathroom version of the extant MLM with his face all over it.

[-] 4grams@awful.systems 22 points 2 years ago

how blind they all are to the worlds most naked, open and obvious grift is beyond me. if we end up reelecting this fucking clown, we deserve everything that’s coming.

[-] OneWomanCreamTeam@sh.itjust.works 23 points 2 years ago

No we don't. Most of us don't even like this guy, just a bunch of morons who's votes matter more than the rest of the country's.

[-] DragonTypeWyvern@literature.cafe -5 points 2 years ago

K.

Are you organizing in event of his reelection?

Or the event of the reelection of the guy who is only doing a little genocide instead of a lot of genocide?

The people who are so hate-crazed they'll follow MAGA no matter what deserve him. The willfully uneducated voting against their own interests deserve him. The people who make "always vote 'R' on ballots, no matter how bad the candidate is" a personality trait deserve him.

The rest of us don't. We need election reform, to abolish the Electoral College and gerrymandering, and fight against Minority Rule.

Imagine being unquestionably loyal to a guy who squeezes you nonstop.

[-] Lmaydev@programming.dev 9 points 2 years ago

He makes them money. The second that stops they'll turn on him big time.

[-] PoliticalAgitator@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

Yep. He's neoliberal and appropriately greedy and psychopathic about it, so he gets their rubber stamp of approval. He's even good for soaking up blame, misdirecting attention and drawing people into a cult where believing blatantly untrue things is how you show your faith.

If he slipped and fell and woke up a progressive, they'd tear him apart with a class solidarity we can only dream of.

Vlad makes them money.

Trump's co-campaign managers, Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, requested a split of "a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC...."

Yes, yes, "Joint Fundraising Committee," but I prefer "Trump National Committee? Jesus Fuckin' Christ."

[-] meleethecat@lemmy.world 13 points 2 years ago

Straight up protection racket.

[-] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Technically a syndicate.

Beautiful, love how the lesser running Republicans are just getting screwed. First Donny empties their campaign coffers to cover his lawyers, and then has the gall to demand they pay him while they fundraise on scraps. I really hope they all get ousted into oblivion..... Render unto Caesar, muthafukasss....

[-] FenrirIII@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Don't forget Trump bibles and stock, further depleting the rubes

[-] cmbabul@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

But I knew Donnie, he had the money, it was his. I mean I know he kicked some of it upstairs to Vladie but that was it
