This is what you wanted, conservatives. No sense in hiding the cheers you know you want to do. So come on now….

Let it out. Show us you’re not afraid to be called the racist pieces of shit that you are.

Otherwise- start openly standing against this shit for a change.

This is what the pro gun movement has given us.

More guns, more gun deaths.

I hold the entire movement responsible.

There is no body count high enough to change their minds.

Self fulfilling prophecy, it's getting to the point where the high body count is the reason to always have a gun.

It doesn't have to make sense if it feels good

Why not put blame in the hands of pundits who spread the White Supremacist theories that grip these shooters? Why not at the hands of the forums that platform this radicalization? The TV networks that promote it? The gun manufacturers that are willing to profit off of our fears?

Theyre all cobtributing to the problem.

Those pundits only existed because people listen to them.

Sorta... tucker carlson was more wealthy and platformed by the wealthy, and has now for years perfected his fascist brainrotting rhetoric. If no one listened to him, he would just try new tactics until they did.

I grew up in Miami. The first rime I saw a confederate flag outside of a textbook was driving up to DC when we stopped to get food in Jacksonville. This was in the mid 90s.

[-] flucksy_bango@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago

Guess you didn't stop in Orlando.

[-] BackOnMyBS@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Nopers. We took I-95 all the way up. However, when I was in middle school, I had a friend move from Miami to Orlando, and she had shared that there was a lot of racism there.

[-] flucksy_bango@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

She didn't lie.

[-] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 4 points 1 year ago

Eh, I don't see it driving around Orlando.

There is that fuckoff huge one flying in Tampa though.

[-] flucksy_bango@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I meant more in the late 90s/early 00s.

Also, get outside the suburbs. There's hatred out there.

hopefully the FBI can figure out what insane online groups this guy might have been a part of & whether he was a copycat shooter.

[-] perviouslyiner@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

Would be crazy if they said "yeah we found the online communities that are radicalising terrorists, and here's a list of subreddits / twitter handles / tv stations we're investigating for people who might have encouraged the shooter"
