Does anyone here on Lemmy log into a Remote Desktop on their iPad using VMWare Horizon? How’s the experience?

So I’m a VMware Horizon Customer / Engineer - I have a specific set of VMware Instant Clone VDIs that I created for a bunch of sales managers for the company I work for. They all use the iPad Pro 12.9s and they love them. They still need access to their green screen and spread sheets from a Windows VDI, so that’s what they have.

From what they report the experience is great. Make sure to use a keyboard with it and a Bluetooth mouse with it. Trust me, it’s worth it.

I’ve done it before. No keyboard, no Bluetooth mouse,… it works. Which meanswith either a mouse or a keyboard, it’s probably great. As is, because I was able to actually work on it that way, I would say it definitely passes the sniff test.

Thanks! I rarely ever need a laptop for anything other than logging into my Remote Desktop for work on occasion. My next “laptop” might be an iPad Pro knowing that I can do that.
