I still find it amazing that the David Pro anime stretched this out into two episodes without adding any additional information. Just dragged the whole thing out to double the length of the OVA's. Editing and pacing are an underappreciated art form sometimes

I think the animation in the OVA is better, even if the character design is a little simpler. The animation when Dio grabs the car and throws it at Jotaro is very smooth and the part where the tanker truck explodes and Jotaro appears is amazing.

The new anime definitely has better sound design and God tier Voice Acting but the OVA's animation is just the good old timeless anime style which feels nostalgic to watch
