The app is great. Also great that it's FOSS and available on Accrescent. But the name and the icon are (in my opinion) absolutely terrible.

Agree on the icon colors. The name, however, evokes a sense that it is a LaTeX editor, and as far as I can tell it is not. So while I would have ordinarily liked the name, it seems misleading.

I wanted to see if the note in the footer was effective: https://chatgpt.com/share/8b29d398-ac5a-475d-89be-244e86e335b5

I am open to suggestions on improving my prompts, if anyone's got tips!

[-] boredsquirrel@slrpnk.net 3 points 4 months ago

That took me long to understand. No if it was effective, you didnt need a good prompt

Haha it used to work when I made it and tested it with Bing with access to the current page. Just tested now with Copilot and it did not work. I think the reason why is because they have been trained to be more resistant to prompt injection than before OR some copyright sensitivity training done on it, which is suggested by the chat shared above.

P.S. For proof this is the real soupslurpr (the developer of BeauTyXT) check my GitHub profile it has a link to my account on this site. https://github.com/soupslurpr
