Well at least it's not Garfield
Low bar lol
But Garfield gave us imsorryjon
I agree with everything you said, yet I still enjoy these comics. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think he could've touched more weird things we humanoids do that do feel alien to us if we step aside and really think about them.
I recommend you to actually do write jokes on your own, (simple) creativity like this can feel really great.

Different folks different strokes. I don't think there's much to gain from analyzing why something may or may not make you laugh.
I feel the same way about pizzacakecomics. Not once has it made me laugh personally, but judging by upvotes a ton of people like it

I think Nathan Pyle's work is hilarious. The Strange Planet stuff isn't for me, but the rest of it is.
Oh! Calluses. My first read was "if you repeat the action enough you'll cause numbing nerve damage," which has nothing to do with hardening.
I mean, there's also nerve damage. When I practiced martial arts, it was considered a good thing when your knuckles and arms suffered enough trauma that there was less pain. 🤷♂️
Does the nerve damage heal from that if you don't practice for a long time?
Is there actual nerve damage or your nervous system changing your perception of pain?
