My god is this race delivering - drama, overtakes, crashes everything

[-] Thade780@lemmy.world 5 points 7 months ago

We need sprinklers randomly going off on all tracks.

[-] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 4 points 7 months ago

Pfft if you did that at Monaco, literally no one would finish. You'd have a Talladega Nights-esque ending where the drivers have to get out of the wreck and footrace to the chequered flag.

I don't even think they know...

[-] hsr@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 7 months ago

Haas breaking everyone's ankles, holy moly.

[-] espentan@lemmy.world 10 points 7 months ago

Brundle on Perez: I forgot he was in it (the race), if I'm honest

Can't blame you there, Martin.

[-] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 10 points 7 months ago

So unfortunate for Norris.

Crazy drama in this race so far.

Bonkers strategy by Ferrari. What were they thinking.

[-] Thade780@lemmy.world 11 points 7 months ago

Bold of you to assume they were.

No way for them to get any points with the engine issue, might as well try something. As long as Charles doesn't crash there's no cost to going slicks

[-] Thade780@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago

Overtake of the day for sure.

[-] Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 7 months ago

Of the season till now

[-] espentan@lemmy.world 8 points 7 months ago

Lando carries on, with inters.. interesting.

[-] Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 7 months ago

One lap too much it seems

[-] Thade780@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago

Did Charles factory reset his car?

Albono passing between two cars to overtake. Oh Albono and Canada is always exciting.

[-] lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

Excellent start by K Mag on that wet tire. Disastrous for Ricciardo.

[-] dimspace@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago

Totally understand why Haas made the call on wets, surprised more lower teams didn't try it

But equally surprised they put both drivers on wets.. smart choice for lower field runners surely would be split strategy?

Mercedes have the opportunity to do something quite funny here.

[-] GreenEngineering3475@lemmy.world 6 points 7 months ago

And Leclerc pits again. Looks like the Ferrari is back boys.

[-] Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 7 months ago

Well they are slow + leclerc has a PU issue. He was a perfect candidate for a crazy strategy because he ain't scoring points anyway

[-] Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 7 months ago

Norris absolutely flying

[-] marine_mustang@sh.itjust.works 5 points 7 months ago

I'm here for a ham podium!

[-] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 4 points 7 months ago

Any bets on whether Leclerc will be able to finish?

[-] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 4 points 7 months ago

Of course Checo fucking takes the piss. It'll be fun to see who Red Bull put in that second seat in 2025. Maybe Sainz? Tsunoda?
