It is very hearting to see gay theatre people piss on this stuff as well, for the record, I would love to be more into theatre and stuff, I am just unfortunately not that much and Hamilton took the fucking cake and slammed it into my face

what kinda musical would you think you'll like, if any? also community theater is the peoples theater.

Brecht, I think, pushed things in a good direction, not just bc I agree with him politically, he was actually fun to listen to if you got into it, but idk if there is something like that out there nowadays. Especially since Brecht has been laundered quite a bit in his cultural reception afaik. Definitely think things should be more participatory and less consumption-oriented, also theatre industry sucks royal ass. does the US one bully talents into nervous breakdowns as well?

hHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. yes.broadway is cut throat, anything off broadway is just as harsh with barely enough pay to live. All of my friend who had big dreams have minimum wage jobs now. we bully CHILDREN into mental breakdowns over this stuff, but thats mostly from parents. its awful its suppose to be about the art and human connection. I wish we could remove the "showbiz" capitalist aspect out of theater and have everyone had well funded accessible community theater. my last place had an all black run theater but now ive moved and its all white people around here :(. lets start a hexbear theater troope lol, no one gets yelled at and its about the art.

Awful. Makes me actually mad, even though it doesn't affect me directly. This system needs to die. I remember the Le Guin story about the one child being tortured for the sake of the a city's happiness, but obviously we already have epstein, so ig we are at the point of optimizing child mistreatment for stonks-up and grillman's treats

I wish I could just do that for its own sake. I don't even wanna set foot into a Laypeople's theatre troupe by now anymore, bc even there it's about one-upping and social prestige (not generally, I just live in a structurally fucked place)

yeah its rough. wished art was about the art not the profit. still best of luck on your adventures with librals comrade, im sure there some cool queers around somewhere.
