Remember kids there will always be a bigger psycho than you no matter how psychotic you are .

TitleAlso came here to say that . Beat me to it .

Yeah, kids are mean little fuckers. Most would love this cake.

[-] hperrin@lemmy.world 8 points 5 months ago

I’ll eat the Simba!

[-] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 34 points 5 months ago

Might as well make her a republican or CEO right now!

You get an entire cake to yourself but it's covered in fondant. Congrats kid, you played yourself.

[-] TehBamski@lemmy.world 17 points 5 months ago

Not sure if this is a big brain move or a precursor to a sadistic.

Kid's just on the right side of history.

There are no just kings, the end of Mufasa and his literal reign of terror is cause for celebration.

People let less-than-3-year-olds watch The Lion King?

[-] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 7 points 5 months ago

Honestly betterr than what I was watching, who the fuck lets a 4 year old watch fucking Day After Tomorrow? And thats on the lighter side, I still cant enjoy Japanese horror because my mother decided that watching the original Japnese version of the Ring with her small child was a great idea. Just glad I grew into slashers.

[-] scrion@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

I was thinking the same king. Media consumption for a 3yo, total, per day, should be less than 30 minutes. And probably should not include The Lion King, cartoon or not.

[-] grue@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

My issue with it wasn't screen time, it was the disturbing death scene.

[-] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 5 points 5 months ago

It's never too early to teach a child that the only good king is a dead one.

[-] grue@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

Better turn it off after "hakuna matata" then, I guess!

[-] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 1 points 5 months ago

Another lesson!

Don't let the prince escape without at least witnesses to his abdication!

[-] grue@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

To be fair, Scar ordered Simba killed, too. It was the hyenas who failed to finish the job and lied about it.

...Actually, that reminds me: the "Be Prepared" villain song ruins the anti-monarchy lesson. Specifically, the line:

Idiots! There will be a king. I will be king!

So yeah, even watching any part of The Lion King fails at teaching that lesson. You'd have to pick a different show entirely (maybe *Kimba the White Lion, LOL).

Yes. Circle of life and hakuna matata are great songs. Besides, Hamlet is a good story. Or the Northman or whoever was first.

This post is so old that the kid is probably in her 40s now.

[-] Anticorp@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

It seems that nobody creates anything new any more. Everything is a rehash of better days gone by.

[-] echodot@feddit.uk 1 points 5 months ago

People produce plenty of new content it's just for some reason we rehash the old stuff.

[-] HEXN3T@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 5 months ago

3! = 6

Not very impressive this time..

[-] sukhmel@programming.dev 5 points 5 months ago

I read it as 3 != 6 and thought "well, yeah, what about it?"

[-] elxeno@lemm.ee 8 points 5 months ago

I think sad ppl eat more cake

[-] dogsnest@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)
[-] edgemaster72@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago
