EDIT-2: The final solution was to add this to "My Filters":

@@||lemmy.fmhy.net^$3p

Based on Adblock Plus filters explained: Exception rules

EDIT: I went to the logger and found that EasyPrivacy filter list had a specific filter for ||fmhy.net^$3p:

This is the first time I see uBlock Origin blocking images from a random domain and I don't know how to whitelist them without disabling uBlock Origin for the whole site.

Any clues are welcome!
Thanks.

There's a box to the right of domain names (the box with + and -), you can click on a left side of it to allow and on a right side to forbid it.

EDIT: Found the problem: it was EasyPrivacy filter list (see EDIT in the post).

I may be missing something because clicking on that box (the one with the -) does nothing.

You probably need to enable "I'm an advanced user" in the settings.

My bad! I thought I had already enabled advanced user mode.

Now I can mark it as "gray", but it's still blocking the images (because the EasyPrivacy filtering) and I don't see how to override that filter.

Thanks for the patience!

Yes, even with Ctrl+F5, but that box does not override the filter lists and the logger still shows the same:

Click the eye icon to disable cosmetic filtering, that should get it working again. That tends to work for me when it hides something it shouldn't.
