At the beginning at of Stardust Crusaders, it's revealed that vampire Dio Brando (who was reduced to a head and implied to have been burned to death in a boat fire with his adversary Jonathan Joestar), has risen again after fishermen dredge up an old coffin he was hiding in. By that point, he's attached his head to the body of Jonathan.
