This is cool and all but the idea that public services need to make a profit is such a miserable outlook. It's like "why aren't the libraries profitable" type shit

We always have to be subject to scrutiny for every minor thing, but a rightoid can quite literally say he wants the fourth reich because "it would be funny" and we all have to respect that opinion.

100%. Roads do not make profits or even break even. They're a huge cost that all taxpayers are just supposed to gladly subsidize. But it is nice to see that this rail expansion meets the arguably unrealistic expectation put on rail in less than two weeks.
