No other monitoring data show changes in the Yellowstone region. Today’s explosion does not reflect a change in the volcanic system, which remains at normal background levels of activity," according to Yellowstone National Park.

Considering it’s a freaking super-volcano….

…. That’s a bit of a relief.

(Pun intended.)

That would be so cool to see in person.

[-] piecat@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

No, it would be scalding hot. But also probably neat.

[-] Drusas@kbin.run 1 points 3 months ago

The people in the video appeared unscathed.

Wow that explosion is pretty intense. My brothers and I joked about that when we were there back in the 90s.

I hope everyone was ok though.

Biscuits be poppin'.

I think it’s time for caffeine, it took about three seconds too long to remember that hydrothermal and thermonuclear are two very different things.

[-] A_A@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

i wish you have a "biscuit" with that hydrothermal coffee 😋

[-] trolske@feddit.org 3 points 3 months ago

The video is down unfortunately.

[-] negativenull@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago
