At least they've stopped calling these motorcycles electric bikes or e-bikes.

Yeah, but also 30-45 mph should be considered an ebike in car-centric places with no/little public transport (such as most of the USA.)

I've crashed going 30 before, it's not fun but its better than dealing with car-brained assholes who think they own the road.

If you can't do at least 5mph above the speed limit they'll be on your ass like they own the fucking thing.

There's no way going fast is more dangerous than what those fuckers do. There's no way walking sidewalk-less streets with cars flying by is safer. There's no way forcing people to starve because they can't get to work or the grocery store is safer.

Until car centric cities are fixed, low-speed ebike requirements exist to force the less privileged into less safe situations, so a bunch of assholes with cars can pat themselves on the back for "making the streets safer."

Want to get rid of high-speed ebikes? STOP FUCKING DRIVING EVERYWHERE!

Because cars are only safer for the people driving them. You know, the people that matter least in an accident because THEY'RE THE MOST LIKELY TO HAVE CAUSED IT!

"Transportation using lightweight vehicles such as bicycles or scooters, especially electric ones that may be borrowed as part of a self-service rental program in which people rent vehicles for short-term use within a town or city.

micromobility is seen as a potential solution to moving people more efficiently around cities"

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.
