Ghost Robotics has supplied several branches of government with its 4-legged robots. The Department of Homeland Security plans to use signal-jamming robot dogs to carry out raids.

Besides semi-autonomous (as the other commenter mentioned) wired control is an option for most law enforcement uses.

Honestly if this is rolled out I feel like any criminals expecting to be impacted by this will just do some killswitch stuff once radios go down.

Can’t think of a good example other than one time I used a laptop’s built-in webcam to detect motion and shut down with the OS running entirely in RAM as an experiment.

It just feels like you could “detect” Homeland Security coming by watching radios and noticing everything being down.
