If the government tries ordering them back to work it’s gonna get worse real quick and I’ll be supporting workers rather than fat cat big business.

It’s a pity small business will get caught in the crossfire but this is a fight workers must win.

The government could just as easily make CNR and CPKR give into worker demands through forced arbitration. Either that, or they need to nationalize the railway companies… which we should have done long ago

Friendly reminder that CN was only privatized in 1995

If the government gets involved, it should mandate that the union gets 2x or 3x their demands. 7% raise? Now it's 14%. 14 days vacation? Now it's 28. Unions are asking to reduce shifts from 16 hours to 12? Congratulations. Now it's 8.

If companies force the government to get involved, it's the companies that should get fucked in the ass with a stick for dicking around.

If the government can enact back to work legislation to force the workers, they should also be able to end the lockout legislation to force the employers. Notwithstanding clause and all.

There it is. To binding arbitration. 100% chance of it not settling a damn thing
