GoRetroid recently unveiled its latest handheld, the Retroid Pocket Mini, in an intriguing teaser video. While the announcement doesn't provide extensive details on specs, price, or release date, it does give us a glimpse of what we can expect from this new device.

  • Design: The Retroid Pocket Mini promises to be significantly smaller than its predecessors but retains some characteristics like dual-LED joysticks, D-pad positioned on the upper left, and face buttons (X,Y,B,A) on the right. It features stacked shoulder buttons, a 4:3 screen, and three inputs for charging, headphones, and SD cards.

  • Potential Release: Given GoRetroid’s history of teasing details slowly, we might see more information in the near future about this device which is poised to bring nostalgic gaming experiences into a compact form factor.

Are you a fan of the Retroid handhelds? How do you expect this device to compare with the equivalents from PowKiddy or Anbernic?

I miss the days where if you wanted a pocket retro you had to build one out of an Altoids can

Ahhh the unfortunate speaker placement kills me. Why do designs always seem to put them right where your hands are?

I had to unsubscribe from the Wulff Den YouTube channel because it was a new Android retro handheld each week and how many of these things can you realistically care about

Edit: Evidently at least one person is buying every one of these

Similar with ETA Prime. The channel is now just ads for random drop-shipped retro devices.

They couldn't be bothered to show a banana for reference.

This looks like a toy, but the black render of this looks incredible

I've got a RP4P and if anything I want a bigger screen device, not a mini. I would get a 35XX if I want something mini. For a powerful chip and android setup I would rather have a big screen.
