I realize Axios sucks, but it was this or the Daily Mail, which was who Trump talked to, and fuck them.

Wow, what restraint. Now I definitely trust this guy who can't even trust himself with highly confidential information and the nuclear codes. /s.

The truth is he can't control what pops out of his mouth and he knows that.

[-] Zerlyna@lemmy.world 49 points 2 years ago

Sounds like he can’t control what comes out either end.

[-] DudeImMacGyver@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 years ago

I doubt he's that self aware.

[-] edgemaster72@lemmy.world 50 points 2 years ago

So he's definitely leaking intel, then.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 11 points 2 years ago

And leaking bodily fluids too most likely.

He'll get his security briefings from Putin, thank you very much.

Translation - the dementia has gotten bad enough he has no idea what he can say and what he can't.

https://www.axios.com/2024/08/22/trump-decline-intelligence-briefings-leak

Regardless if he receives them or not, unless every sentence contains his name, he won’t care. I doubt he can even read and comprehend the briefings at this point.

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 14 points 2 years ago

I'm sure they have entire tomes of sentences with his name in it.

"Trump is the nation's greatest security threat", and lots of variations there in.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 11 points 2 years ago

Weird. Thanks. Fixed.

[-] EleventhHour@lemmy.world 13 points 2 years ago

also: can't be accused of being intelligent

[-] someguy3@lemmy.world 8 points 2 years ago

Their articles give way too little information.

[-] vxx@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

I'm sure I've read last week that his credentials for these briefings were revoked.
